who is the client?

Weight to Go are a growing brand offering diet products. The programme that Weight to Go operate is based on controlling the calorie intake of the customer with specific (and great tasting) meal products that make up the full intake for the day.

what is the project brief?

Advansys were tasked with creating an ecommerce solution, that would be simple to use for the customers to buy their products by month, week and as individual items. The site would also need to be able to show up to date information and guides about the Weight to Go Programme and also the necessary safety information that anyone considering a reduced calorie intake diet.

Early in the project it became obvious that a certain level of customisation was going to be necessary to acheive the aims of the client. This included creating a method whereby the contents of a diet supply box could be modified by the customer, yet have the product ordered as a single item through the CMS.

Another bespoke function of the ecommerce website was the provision of two templates for content pages to handle both the standard information and aritcles and then a second template to allow Weight to Go to promote the success stories of the diet program.

With this customisation Advansys then had to ensure that the project adhered to a tight timetable, to do this we worked very closely with the client, advising on the best courses of action and assisting with the creation of the product templates.

our final solution

The finished website is very clean in design and extremely accessible. Weight to Go are taking advantage of the scalability of the ecommerce solution in order to add the ability to process and accept payment for telephone orders via the CMS of the website as well as adding the capability for promotional codes to be implemented and pass savings onto their customers. We look forward to working closely with Weight to Go as they grow and are hugely confident that the solution Advansys have built will be with them for a good long time, growing as their business needs grow.
